1. Colosseum, Rome:
This oval amphitheatre is located in the city centre, just east of the Roman Forum. It is 189 meters long and 156 meters wide. This architecture holds the record for being the largest standing amphitheatre in the world.
The entire Colosseum consists of travertine limestone, tuff, and brick-faced concrete. Romans used this structure for gladiatorial contests, executions, animal hunts, dramas, and re-enactments of famous battles.
Additionally, it is listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It depicts the Italian version of the five-cent euro coin.
2. Roman Forum:
The Latin name of the Roman Forum is Forum Romanum. It is a rectangular plaza with ruins of several important ancient government buildings surrounding the plaza. For centuries, this plaza served as a site for triumphal processions, elections, criminal trials, and gladiatorial matches.
Here you will find statues and monuments commemorating the great men of Rome. Earlier this was the most celebrated meeting place in the world. On the southeastern edge you will find the Roman kingdom’s earliest shrines and temples.
3. Piazza Navona, Rome:
It is a local open space located in Rome, Italy. It was constructed in the 1st century on the site of Domitian’s stadium. Earlier this structure served as a stadium for athletics competitions and had a capacity of 20,000 spectators.
In the 17th century, architects added several unique buildings to the square. You will also find a church, named Sant’Agnese in Agone, a palace. The major attraction of this spot is the fountain, La Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi.
The name of this fountain means “The Fountain of the Four Rivers”. The four statues located here represent the Donau, Ganges, Nile, and Rio de la Plata.

5. Pantheon, Rome:
The Pantheon was originally a Roman temple but was converted to a Catholic Church in 609 AD. In Greek, “Pantheon” means “temple of all the gods”. The building features a cylindrical shape with 8 porticos in the first rank and two groups of four behind.
It boasts the world’s largest unreinforced concrete dome, with both the diameter of the interior circle and the height of the oculus measuring 43 meters. Entry is free on weekdays, but a spot must be booked in advance if visiting on weekends.

2. By train:
