Lee & Lucy Travel is a personal travel blog about the places we visit, the food we eat there, and the practical details that make a trip work. We write for travellers who would rather spend an afternoon in a local market than tick off a checklist — people planning their first long trip through Asia, or their fifth, who want honest advice instead of a press release.

Everything here comes from our own journeys. Each destination guide covers what a place is actually like on the ground: the neighbourhoods worth staying in, how to get around without overpaying, which street stalls and family restaurants are worth the detour, and how many days you genuinely need. Our Thailand, India, Vietnam and Bali archives are the most detailed, with temple etiquette, transport, costs and photo spots written up stop by stop.

Alongside the guides you will find our travel photography — the sunrises we got up early for, the coastlines we walked, the meals we still talk about. We shoot everything ourselves, so the pictures you see are the places we are describing, not stock images borrowed from a library. If a view needs a climb, a ferry or a 4am start to reach, we say so, because that is usually the detail that matters most.

We keep the articles current. Prices change, ferries stop running, and a guesthouse that was wonderful last year can change hands, so our guides are revisited and corrected rather than left to age. Nothing on this site is a paid placement, and we do not accept free stays in exchange for a review — if we recommend something, it is because we used it and would use it again.
