Introduction to Soi Cowboy

The most prominent night spot that you must visit is the hustle and bustle red-light district, Soi Cowboy Street. Soi Cowboy Street is located near the famous commercial area Terminal 21.
This street was named after an African-American cowboy who was the first to open a bar in this area in the 1970s.
As soon as you enter the street you can see the long-legged ladies dancing in a bikini swimsuit looking extremely beautiful and attractive.
Soi Cowboy Street features a laid-back and carnival-like atmosphere. On the one side of the street, you will find lots of go-go bars and on the other hand, you will see a great variety of nightclubs and discos.
Tips for First-Time Visitors
All the bars and nightclubs are completely open by 7 in the evening and welcome guests till 2 at midnight.
This street is usually busier at night, especially at weekends. The entrance is free and you can get drinks at prices varying from 100-200 Baht. The famous go-go bars include Country Road, Deja Vu, Tilac, Kiss, and Baccara.
Great nightclubs include Rio Club, Cockatoo, Ladyboy Bar, Jungle, Cowboy2, and Dundee.
You can save some bucks by visiting the go-go bars and nightclubs during the happy hours, from 7:00 pm till 8:30 pm.
Another attraction of Soi Cowboy Street is the Ping Pong Show, it is like a game of ping pong with just a woman pulling a ball of ping pong with their pelvic muscle.
There is a series of shows and ping pong is the first one. Women wearing either bikinis or bras and inserting objects, inflating or ejecting them by their pelvic muscles.
The objects vary from ping-pong balls, chopsticks, darts, and razors to candles and cigarettes.
The entry fee for the ping pong show is 300-400 Baht. In go-go bars, getting a girl will cost you 1000-1500 Baht for a short time and another 500-1000 Baht for a long time.
How to reach Soi Cowboy:
1. Get into MRT:
To reach Soi Cowboy Street from Bangkok get into a blue line MRT from Hua Lamphong MRT Station.
You will get an MRT after every 5 minutes. Get off the MRT at Sukhumvit MRT Station. Walk for 2 minutes and you will reach Soi Cowboy Street.
The whole journey will take about 14 minutes.
2. Get a bus:
Get a 511 outbound bus from Opposite the Thai Airways Building. You will get a bus after every 15 minutes.
Get off the bus at Sukhumvit Soi 23 Bus Station. Walk for 2 minutes and you will reach Soi Cowboy Street. The journey will take 21 minutes.
